Perhaps "Happy Together" would have been a better choice for the name. You have a valid point there with "Pretty Woman" and Beethoven's 5th.DianeLoves2Quilthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12704655734477952685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8828752146646515017.post-53461972972618372062015-06-18T10:00:58.087-07:002015-06-18T10:00:58.087-07:00Hey - I did not exist in 1967, but "Happy Tog...Hey - I did not exist in 1967, but "Happy Together" makes me think of the Turtles' song: we even played it at our wedding if you remember! I view it as one of those timeless songs that will be around no matter what the original artists do, kind of like "Burnin' Love" by Elvis or "Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison; it appears in movie soundtracks all the time, people love to cover it live, so It's going to long outlive the original artist who made it famous (I mean really: does anyone care that Beethoven is dead when they hear his 5th or 9th?).

Also, that looks like a really good FMQ book you've got there; lots of good inspiration (I love that pussywillow technique for small strips myself) and your feathering turned out really great - I haven't gotten up the guts to try feathers (or arguably, had a quilt that really called for them) so I am extra impressed.RobinLovesQuiltinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10916564818055052041noreply@blogger.com
